What does KidsCode Desktop do?
- 🖥️ Opens KidsCode as its own app — log in, do your lessons, and click Upload to send code straight to your Arduino board.
- 🔒 Only ever connects to KidsCode. It doesn't send data anywhere else.
- 🔌 Replaces KidsCode Link — if you had Link installed before, you don't need it anymore once Desktop is set up.
System requirements
Windows Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
Hardware Arduino UNO (or compatible board)
Cable USB-A to USB-B cable (the square plug)
⚠ Mac is not supported yet. Mac support is coming — check back!
How to install
- Click the Download button above and run the installer.
- Windows may show a security warning — click More info then Run anyway. This is normal for new apps.
- Follow the installer steps (just click Next → Install → Finish).
- Open KidsCode Desktop from your Start Menu or desktop shortcut.
- Log in and head to a lesson — Upload connects to your Arduino automatically.
